悦汇城位于广州广州荔湾区北边，相邻南北方主干道东沙路，间距白云机场27千米，间距广州火车站仅2公里。历经600天的更新改造，悦汇城于2020年9月峻工，变成广州市第二大商场、广州市中西部最大中型的综合性商业服务新项目，为附近规划区甚至全部广州市产生了新的魅力，具有激话老城区，升级城市文化的功效。

悦汇城更新改造前是广州市经营规模较大的三大旧城改造新项目之一：財富乾坤国际性鞋厂城市广场，是由八十年代的旧化工厂超级变身而成。原工程建筑标准为四个方块盒子构成的矩形框体块，地面上五层，地底双层，建筑面积约28万平方。根据十字积极线和环字次功能分区串连起來。原建筑外立面则是灰色凸凹的波浪纹铝合金板，总体标准缺乏转变。新项目附近临街的老城区交通出行与徒步感受较差，针对周边规划区也欠缺一个群众日常感受与集聚和休闲娱乐的一站式场地。群众针对此片区的印像仍然滞留在“化工厂”、“批发城”的灰色、掺杂印像。

Backinthe80's,thesitewasonceacementproductionplantwhichwasaniconiclandmarkofthedevelopingcommunities.In2006,inaccordancewiththegovernment'svigorousplantoupgradethebusinessserviceindustries,theplantwasdemolishedtomakewayfortheFortuneWorldInternationalFootwearWholesalePlaza.Theexistingbuildingwasfouridenticalsquareblocks,100mlongby90Mwide,5levelsabovegroundand2levelsbelow,atotalof280,000sqmofbuildingareaorganizedbycruciformshapedpromenades.Meanwhile,thefacadewascomposedofidenticalsquareboxesallaroundwhichwasquiteeasytolosedirectioninsuchsymmetryandlackofhierarchy.ThehugetrafficonLiwanRoadandconfusedpedestrianwalkways,coupledwiththelackofurbanpocketshasmadethetravellingexperiencelessdesirable.Theoldimageofthelacklusteranddisorganizedcementproductionplantsticksinthemindofthecommunity.

原工程建筑标准为四个方块盒子构成的大的矩形框体块，约为一百米x90米，地面上五层，地底双层，建筑面积约28万平方，根据十字积极线和环字次功能分区串连起來，坐落于体块中间是总面积达1900平方米的环形中厅。原建筑立面是灰色凸凹的波浪纹铝合金板，总体标准缺乏转变。

出自于可持续发展观和成本费用等要素，原建筑消防对策、全景天窗范畴、主机械设备、关键构造等仍可一切正常运行的內容，必须尽可能保存和利旧。

Withtime,costandsustainabilityinconsideration,wehavedecidedtokeepstructuralchangestotheminimum,recyclemostofthemajorequipment,andstayoncoursewiththeexistingfireescapestrategy.
